Epsom and Ewell Council has recently secured a £750,000 grant from the Football Foundation to improve all of the facilities at Auriol Park, which is Epsom Eagles' home ground. A new specially designed Sports Pavilion has been built by the Council and all of the playing surfaces have been improved via new drainage and reinstatement, leading to some of the best playing surfaces in the borough.

The Pavillion has six new team changing rooms with modern fitments and showers/toilets.  It also boasts a seminar room for meetings and a small kitchen for light refreshments. There are plans for the patio/outdoor area to be used for barbecues etc at events.

It is hoped that it will be possible to use the Pavillion during the summer for changing for training on the grass area. This will be negotiated with the council and the new groundstaff contractors.

Charter Standard

The Club has applied for the highest level of the FA’s prestigious Charter Standard and we need to enlist the help of more volunteers.  The Charter application includes a 3/5 year development plan that outlines substantial growth for the Club over that period. We have been fortunate to secure the services of Barry Millard as Volunteer Coordinator and if you are able to offer your services please contact Sue Spicer 01372 276097 or sueepsomeagles@hotmail.com and your information will be passed on to Barry. The recruitment of enough new volunteers to give up a small portion of their time to serve the club is CRUCIAL to the future success of Epsom Eagles.

Sports Injuries

Frank Burns (Chelsea Scout and Physio) runs a sport injury clinic on Wednesday evenings at Old Salesians in Ewell Village.  If you feel your son/daughter would benefit from Frank’s expertise please contact your manager – who will be able to make an appointment. There is a nominal charge to cover expenses and club insurance.

Girls Football

We currently have Four girls teams – under 10, 12, 14 and Ladies and run training sessions for girls on Saturday mornings at Auriol from 10.00 – 11.00 if you know any girls who may be interested, please send them down.

Saturday Community Scheme

The Club has launched its regular Community Scheme on Saturday Mornings to introduce new players to football in general, and Epsom Eagles in particular. The primary focus is to attract 6-12 yr old boys, and girls of all ages, to help build new teams for the club for the future. Please contact your manager if you have friends or relatives who are interested in this scheme. The sessions are run by EE Coaches and Helpers and there is a small attendance charge.
